പതിനൊന്ന് കൗണ്ടികളിൽ മഴ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് - വിക്ലോ, വാട്ടർഫോർഡ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് ഓറഞ്ച് അലേർട്ടുകൾ നല്കി. മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകൾ പുലർച്ചെ 3 മണിക്ക് ആരംഭിച്ച് 24 മണിക്കൂർ കൂടി നിലനിൽക്കും.
കാർലോ, ഡബ്ലിൻ, കിൽഡെയർ, കിൽകെന്നി, ലീഷ് , ലൂത്ത്, വെക്സ്ഫോർഡ്, മോനഗൻ, ടിപ്പററി എന്നീ കൗണ്ടികൾക്ക് ഇതേ കാലയളവിൽ യെല്ലോ വാണിംഗ് നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഉയർന്ന നദികളുടെ ജലനിരപ്പും ഉയർന്ന വേലിയേറ്റവും കൂടിച്ചേർന്ന് ഇതിനകം നിറഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്ന ഭൂമിയിൽ പെയ്യുന്ന കനത്ത മഴ പ്രാദേശിക വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തിനും, നദികളിലെ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തിനും, യാത്രാ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾക്കും കാരണമാകുമെന്ന് മെറ്റ് ഐറാൻ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി. അതായത് ഇനിയും എത്ര മഴയോ പെയ്താലും അത് വലിയ പ്രത്യാഘാതങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇടയാക്കും" എന്ന് മെറ്റ് ഐറാൻ പറയുന്നു.
വിക്ലോയിൽ, നദിയുടെ മുഴുവൻ ഗതിയിലും സാധ്യതയുള്ള ആഘാതങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും ഇനിയും എത്ര മഴയോ പെയ്താലും അത് വലിയ പ്രത്യാഘാതങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇടയാക്കും" എന്ന് മെറ്റ് ഐറാൻ പറയുന്നു.
ജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയരുന്നതും, ഉയർന്ന വേലിയേറ്റവും, ഉയർന്ന നദികളുടെ നിരപ്പും കാരണം ഇന്ന് ചില സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്ക സാധ്യത തുടരുമെന്ന് മെറ്റ് ഐറാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
ഇതിനകം നിറഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന ഭൂമിയിലും കരകവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന നദികളിലും കൂടുതൽ മഴ പെയ്യുമെന്ന് പ്രവചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിനാൽ കൂടുതൽ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് നാഷണൽ എമർജൻസി കോ-ഓർഡിനേഷൻ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് (എൻഇസിജി) മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി
